I was not the brightest or most enthusiastic engineering student.
Then I had Dr John Long as a lecturer for materials. He opened up a whole new area to me that was incredibly interesting.
I ended up with [high distinctions] HDs for both basic and advanced units. I still remember lots of the content because he brought it to life and have used it throughout my career.
