I had always wanted to go to university but our economic situation made it impossible. I had to leave high school at an intermediate level also due to family finances and go to work.
I have never lost the desire to learn. I was therefore grateful to Deakin University for having provided the opportunity for me to study online for a degree in Humanities. As I had a family, farm duties and a job in an accountancy office, life was very full.
It took me six years, with never a late assignment to graduate. A dream fulfilled. I was so proud as my daughter (studying a Science degree) and myself graduated the same year. Thank you, Deakin.
