I began my Diploma of Teaching Primary in 1975, the first year as Deakin University. It was also the final year that teaching studentships were awarded.
Today about 10 retired teachers from that 1975 group met for lunch. We talked about our many and varied teaching careers. I was amazed at the wonderful achievements and varied career paths that these people took.
Those first years of Deakin from 1975 to 1977 certainly produced some talented, skilled and dedicated teachers.
