At the time I was at Deakin, over 20 years ago, the University was evolving. Most of my lectures were conducted at the Rusden Campus close to Clayton, while some units were conducted at Burwood and some were done remotely at Geelong.
As an international student from a developing country, my exposure to Deakin was a life-changing experience that allowed me to acquire the traits of adaptability and versatility on top of subject knowledge.
Since returning to Sri Lanka, I have been actively contributing to my motherland’s social, cultural, economic and political landscapes as an entrepreneur, a researcher, an author of eight books as well as book chapters and dozens of academic publications.
